VW Introducing a Quick-Charging, All-Electric Model

In an effort to provide the automotive world with some of the cleanest vehicles in history, Volkswagen promised to release a line of environmentally friendly cars in North America by 2020. Thought the German automakers already have the e-Golf, which is an all-electric, compact car that gets 105 MPGe on the highway, they are scheduled to unveil the new model at the Paris Auto Show in October.

Coming to market between late 2018 and early 2019, the fully electric VW model will be able to take its driver 300 miles on a 15-minute charge. The newest edition to the VW lineup will include three electric motors and a large battery pack, and have a spacious interior like the Passat. It’s said to have a futuristic look and feel more like a wagon because of its sporty, low body. Their highly efficient new model will be one out of 20 EV and plug-in hybrid models VW will incorporate into its eco-friendly line.
